Mr. C2

Meet the last of my newborns for now...he was so sleepy & so cooperative for his session. We had more ideas than time allowed for, so we broke up the session over 2 nights. On the second night he seemed to know who I was (or probably that he knew he didn't like the big black thing in his face) & was slightly less eager to be photographed. However, we still got some nice shots. These are some of my favorites, so far. I had more I wanted to post, but had to draw the line...

Miss E

Unfortunately, we didn't get to do a maternity shoot for this little lady. She is the latest addition for another of my neighbors - there seriously was something in the water! To date, she was the youngest of my babies, and the most sleepy. I could definitely tell the difference the age factor makes, too. I'm still trying to get the hang of patiently waiting to pose them, though...time is never on my side. After next week, I have no more newborn or maternity sessions scheduled. If you know anyone that's interested, I'd be happy to do a session for them for a minimal cost.

Sitzman Maternity

This session came just in time - a mere 1 week before the little guy arrived. It was also a first for me...I had an assistant. Thanks, Laura! Some of these are at their house, then we drove down to Spring Street to get some shots. They turned out really well, I think, so I'll have to go back there in the future. Thanks for being such great subjects, you two...

Mr. A

Meet Mr. A - He was not very happy about having his picture taken...until we got him swaddled again. Must be that "4th Trimester" thing. : )

OMG...

I need a break! We have been running ourselves ragged for the past 3 months & there are no signs of it slowing down...until September! I remember making a pseudo-New Year's Resolution that I would not be so busy this year. Well, I guess resolutions are made to be broken, right? : )

Just an update - I have been reading a little bit of that book more often & it's good. Apparently not good enough for me to remember the name right now, though!

Here are some favorite photos I've taken recently. They are not technically-sound, by any means, but I talked to a very talented & experienced photographer this past weekend at Josh & Maggie's wedding & told him I needed to come shadow him. Who knows if I will gather enough courage to follow through with this, of if he'd even be up for it. But if I want to get better, I need to do something. You can view his amazing work at www.toddnichols.com. OH, of course, a cute one of Aryn, too. : )

Stay tuned for an upcoming maternity session & possibly 3 newborn sessions! After that, I am going to compile my favorites into a book & will think about actually charging for my photography sessions...

One more thing - most of you know I'm able to make Discovery Toy purchases. If you want to earn free toys for yourself, let me know & we can set up a party or a book party. If you want to just buy a toy or two here and there, I'd be happy to do that, as well.
